My husband Tommy & I moved from the city to start homesteading over 10 years ago.

We currently live on 5 acres with our 7 kids (ranging in age from 1-13) where we grow approx. 90% of our meat, 60%+ of our produce, all our milk, eggs, and many other products.

The best part though?
None of our homestead efforts require the use of our sole, off-farm “town” income. Every single feed order, fence post, vacuum seal bag, new animal, etc. is paid for by the income we generate from other areas of our homestead.

(So yeah, you could say we are eating nourishing homegrown food for free! Minus some labor)

We knew growing a farm with one income and a large family was going to be a challenge. But we’ve managed to do it without debt, while working around homeschool schedules, and have even been blessed to have an abundance to share and sell to give us profit for additional projects.

I would love every small family homestead to feel the FREEDOM we feel being able to build this lifestyle without financial limitations!
