Come to the homestead for a hands on workshop on how to spin wool into yarn!
In this class we’ll cover:
— Overview of types of spinning wheels and what they are used for.
— Basic spinning terminology
— Spinning wheel parts
— Spinning wheel maintenance
— How to set your spinning wheel to get the results you want
— Spinning singles
— Plying singles
— Setting yarn
A charcuterie lunch will be provided. You will go home with small amounts of different rovings, your finished yarn from class, and full handout with detailed class notes.
